This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from a third party. That is unusual enough to be worth stating plainly, and this page explains exactly what does happen.
We set no cookies. We run no analytics, no tag manager and no advertising pixel. There is no contact form, no newsletter and no account. Comments are closed. Fonts are served from this server rather than from Google, so your browser makes no request to a third party while reading a page.
Like any web server, ours keeps access logs: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser’s user agent. These are produced automatically by the host, kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting, and are not used to build a profile or linked to anything else. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site running securely.
When you click a booking button you pass through a redirect on this site. It adds one to a counter for that button, in that month — for example “the Canggu hero button, September”. The counter is a number. No identifier, no IP and nothing about you is stored with it, and it cannot be traced back to a visitor.
The redirect sends you to Vroam with a tag identifying us as the referrer. From that point you are on their site under their privacy policy, and they set their own storage to remember where you came from. We receive no personal data back from them — only, eventually, aggregate commission reporting.
WordPress writes a single entry to your browser’s session storage to test whether your device can display emoji. It is cleared when you close the tab, contains no personal data and is not used for any purpose beyond that test.
Our host, Hostinger International Ltd, 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus, processes the access logs as part of hosting the site. Beyond that, nothing about your visit leaves this server.
Under the GDPR you may ask what personal data we hold, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to its processing, or complain to a supervisory authority — in France, the CNIL. In practice the only personal data we could hold about you is a line in a server log. Requests go to [contact email — to be added].
The moment we add analytics, a form or anything that sets a cookie, this page changes first and a consent banner appears with it. If this page still says “no cookies”, that is because it is still true.
