What happens if the scooter gets damaged

Every booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance. Damage protection is a separate, optional add-on that caps what a scratch can cost you. This page explains both, and what neither of them covers.

The two rules that matter

Miss either step and the cover is void

Protection is not automatic once you have paid for it. Two things are on you, and both happen in the first day.

    Photograph the scooter within the hour

    From every angle, as soon as it is delivered, and send them to Vroam. These photos are what proves a scratch was already there. Without them, pre-existing damage becomes yours.

    Report any damage within 24 hours

    By WhatsApp, with photos. A claim opened later than that is refused, whatever the circumstances.

    Vroam negotiates with the rental shop

    You do not haggle at the counter. The team handles the assessment and the amount with the shop directly.

    Refund processed within 90 days

    Once the claim is settled, anything above your capped liability comes back to the card you paid with.

What protection does not cover

Worth reading before you assume you are covered. For bodily injury in particular, you need travel insurance — this add-on does not replace it.

Intentional damage or gross negligence

Riding without a valid motorcycle licence
